You Can Study Engineering With Your Grade 9 Certificate At False Bay TVET College



The schooling landscape is evolving, and False Bay TVET College is on the forefront, recognizing that the traditional school model is not the only successful means of studying. CareersPortal.co.za had a chat with the Head of Section for Engineering Studies at False Bay College, with regards to their different courses.

False Bay's Engineering NCV programmes are presented at two campuses: Westlake Campus and Khayelitsha Campus. These Engineering programmes are for a 3-yr length.

NCV Engineering Course Entry Requirements

These classes get started at NCV level 2 and the minimum need would then be Grade 9 certificate with a pass in Arithmetic.

When the student finishes NCVLevel two, they'd then have attained a grade ten certificate. NCV Level three would be grade 11 and NCV Level 4 is grade twelve.

NCV Level 4 is at the exit level, being comparable to a National Senior Certificate (NSC).

Grade 9 is on NQF level one. Our NCV programmes start NCV degree two which is equivalent to an NQF level 2.

On which kind of students are suited to these programmes, they say that the world is acknowledging that conventional education is not always the only real method of turning out to be an artisan or getting experienced therefore if a student knows from an early age what their interests are, the NCV programme is in fact perfectly suited to that student.
